Support planning and risk assessment for audit engagements, including evaluation of financial and operational risks and internal controls.
Review financial records, transactions and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, authorization and compliance with applicable requirements.
Perform audit procedures over NGO and donor-funded projects, including review of project
expenditures and preparation of donor project audit reports.
Analyse budget versus actual expenditure and investigate significant variances, unusual trends and potential compliance issues.
Review bank reconciliations, account balances and financial records and follow up discrepancies
and unsupported items.
Evaluate internal control systems and business processes and recommend corrective actions to strengthen accountability and reduce financial risks.
Review Monitoring and Evaluation reports and assess consistency between programme information and financial expenditure.
Prepare clear audit working papers, maintain supporting evidence and contribute to well
documented audit trails.
