- Please submit a cover letter on your company letterhead to the Director of Licensing, Compliance, and Standards highlighting your intentions.
- Provide a copy of your certificate of registration.
- Submit a copy of your company’s Memorandums, constitution, or another body document.
- If your company is limited, provide a current CR12 and a list of directors. Note that foreign-owned companies must have at least 30% Kenyan shareholding.
- Provide your company or business PIN certificate.
- If your company is old, provide your tax compliance certificate.
- Provide the details of your company’s registered office, including the name of the building, the name of the road, the general location, the town, and the county.
- Provide copies of the proprietors’, directors’, or officials’ IDs. If you have foreign directors, provide passport copies.
- Provide your company’s contact information, including postal address, email address, and telephone number.
- Provide the directors’ and officials’ contact information, including postal addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers.
- Provide a business plan for your company or business. The business plan should highlight your service network, the market you intend to serve, business expansion proposals for at least three years, and a general guideline of the business.
- Complete the application form.
You can submit your application once you have gathered all the required documents. The process involves paying an application fee of Kshs 5,000 (for a national courier operator) and a license fee of Kshs 30,000 (or 0.4% of the annual turnover of audited accounts, whichever is higher).
